The mission of Sni Valley Fire Protection District Emergency Medical Services is to minimize the loss of life or serious injury by providing immediate and reliable response to medical emergencies and to assess, treat, stabilize, and transport patients until definitive medical care is available and initiated at an appropriate medical facility.
Since 1974, the Sni Valley Fire Protection District has provided high quality fire service to its citizens. In 1978, the City of Oak Grove began providing our citizens with emergency medical care by hiring its first paramedic. In the beginning the City provided this with only one paramedic per shift. In 1994, the Sni Valley Fire Protection District assumed responsibility for providing EMS to the citizens of our District. Currently present day, all district personnel are trained in emergency medicine. High quality emergency medical care is not defined solely in terms of life saving interventions for critically ill or injured patients. High quality emergency medical care is defined by the decisions made on each and every patient encounter. The challenge EMS provider’s face is to make important, sometimes critical decisions with a limited amount of information.
The highly educated EMS personnel of the Sni Valley Fire Protection District pursue excellence in their profession by combining the benefits of medical science with the art of compassionate care. In all cases, potential patients are approached with the greatest professionalism and concern for their well-being.

New Medical Equipment!
Thank you to the Donald Lake Memorial Fund for their donation, so Sni Valley can purchase a King Vision. The King Vision; combines the convenience of a durable, reusable video display with disposable laryngoscope blades. It provides a high quality image of the vocal cords while minimizing soft tissue manipulation during intubation (passing a breathing tube between your vocal cords).
High-quality CPR Without Interruption The AutoPulse® Resuscitation System provides high-quality automated CPR to victims of sudden cardiac arrest. Easy to use and battery operated, the AutoPulse squeezes the patient’s entire chest to improve blood flow to the heart and brain. The only device of its kind, the AutoPulse automatically sizes to the patient, and has shown improved outcomes. Designed for Patient Movement and Transport when the AutoPulse’s stabilizing board is placed on a soft stretcher, rescuers can continue providing high-quality CPR down steep stairwells, around sharp corners, or even in a cramped elevator. Compared with manual CPR, the AutoPulse has been shown to reduce interruptions in compressions during transport by more than 85%.
Sni Valley has two AutoPulses, one on each ambulance. We continue to find and utilize equipment that will help us, help you!
Sni Valley’s new ambulance is a 2017 Dodge 5500 on a 4 x 4 chassis with a Wheeled Coach ambulance module. This ambulance is a new addition to our fleet, which brings our ambulance capability to 3. We purchased this ambulance because of the increase of medical calls. In the past several years our call volume has increased which included more back to back calls; which left us utilizing mutual aid ambulances to transport our residents. Sni Valley staffs two Advanced Life Support ambulances 24/7. The additional ambulance will cover medical calls, when the other 2 ambulances are on emergencies, standby events and will also allow us to maintain 2 ambulances for immediate response when one is having maintenance.
